A pretty interesting article came out today on Newsweek about the vehicle of choice of rebels and insurgents around the globe. Lo and behold the Toyota Hilux which the article describes "the vehicular equivalent of the AK-47." This is even the same truck that BBC's Top Gear tried to destroy numerous times, all of which resulted in failure.
As much respect as I have for old Toyota pickups (and wish I had one for off-roading purposes), I'm kind of glad I have a '88 Nissan Hardbody instead since I see Toyota pickups associated with images like these:
